A disabled California grandmother, armed only with bear spray, told police she fended off 13 intruders who were after the medical marijuana she had growing in her backyard.

The woman grabbed the spray and emptied the can on the thugs.

Residents of tiny Tangent, Ore., are joining forces to help relocate a dilapidated barn once owned by a cat.

Wealthy resident John Bass left the barn, along with a five-bedroom house and $70,000, to his feline, Kitty Kat, in his 1983 will.

The town honored Bass’ wishes until Kitty Kat died in 1993, but no one could afford the upkeep and the barn was set for demolition until newcomer Beth Timmons agreed to save it and bought it for $1.

This Brit is smarter than Stephen Hawking, but still hasn’t managed to become a straight-A student.

Olivia Manning, 12, stunned the world by nailing a 162 score on an IQ test — a score that bests both Hawking and Albert Einstein.

But since she’s among the world’s most intelligent humans, one of Manning’s teachers told Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper, “We now want to know why she’s not getting A’s in everything.”

It’s a “yagach” time for Scottish linguists, where the last native speakers of the fisherfolk in Cromarty have died.

Yagach, the fisherfolk word for “bleak,” now can be heard only in recordings made of Bobby Hogg, 92, and his younger brother Gordon, who died last year.

The tongue of the fishing families was never written down, and Bobby was the last fluent native speaker.
