Soldsie is a goodie for FB-based biz

Looking for an easy way for your fans on Facebook to purchase products sold by your small business?

With Soldsie, people can buy things directly from your Facebook page simply by commenting on a photo.

Just go to soldsie.com and install the Facebook app. Through the app, you can sell products and send invoices straight from the social network instead of directing people to another website.

To post a new product, upload a picture of the item that you want to sell, add a brief description, price and inventory options. You can even schedule when you want the item to go on sale.

People interested in buying your product can comment with “sold” or some other phrase indicating their intent to purchase, depending on the instructions you place in the product description or title. Potential buyers can either include their e-mail address in the comments so you know where to send their invoice or they can register their payment info with Soldsie.

To complete the transaction, just click on the right side of a comment to reveal the “send invoice” button, verify the invoice information and send it.

You can manage your invoices and payment statuses from Soldsie’s dashboard.

For companies handling between $700 and $80,000 in monthly transactions, 3 percent of each sale goes to Soldsie. Businesses handling less than that don’t have to pay a fee to Soldsie, while those handling more than that will be charged a variable fee.

All companies get a 14-day free trial when they sign up.
