Man arrested in bus driver’s syringe stabbing

Police nabbed the syringe-wielding sicko who stabbed an MTA bus driver in Brooklyn, authorities said.

Shelwyn Patt, 53, was picked up yesterday at 5:45 p.m. when another bus driver recognized his mug from a police sketch, cops said.

The quick-thinking driver called police who arrested the deranged man for the Sept. 24 attack, cops added.

The attacker was taken to the 72nd Precinct and identified in a line-up, cops said.

Patt was charged with assault for the stabbing in which he plunged a syringe into a bus driver’s arm while the bus was stopped at Prospect Park West near Greenwood Avenue, cops said.

The bus driver was treated and released from Methodist Hospital following the attack, cops said.
