Nice feed by Nets

The House that Jay-Z Built is taking its co-op-shopping Brooklyn base to heart — offering organic and gluten-free fare at its new concessions.

Barclays Center, which opened last week with a series of concerts by the rap mogul and Brooklyn Nets part-owner, is planning to offer the health-conscious eats beginning Oct. 15. That’s when the Nets break in their new digs in a preseason home opener against the Washington Wizards.

The gluten-free offerings will include beer ($9), hot dogs ($5.25) and chocolate bars and other snacks ($4.75) as part of a well-received effort by arena officials to offer Brooklyn-centric food.

Other more traditional calorie-laden options already are available, including Junior’s cheesecake, L & B Spumoni Gardens pizza and Nathan’s hot dogs.

News of the health-conscious Barclays food received rave reviews from arena neighbors yesterday — especially members of the Park Slope Food Co-op.

“Normally, I would never buy food in an arena because it’s junk, but it’s really exciting to know there’s healthy food there,” said Barbara Mazor, who led the fight earlier this year to block a controversial boycott of Israeli products at the cooperative.Gluten is a protein found in many wheat, barley, malt and rye products that many people are allergic to.

“Now, if I go, I would have no problem buying something to eat. What a great idea.”
