Two slain in NJ ambush

CAMDEN, NJ — A gunman opened fire on a car parked on a residential street, killing two occupants and wounding three in this crime-ridden South Jersey city, police said yesterday.

No motive was immediately clear for the ambush, which occurred at 11:45 p.m. Saturday, investigators said.

The two homicides raised Camden’s total for the year to 50 — just eight short of the record the city set in 1995.
