Thieves have ripped off nearly 1,000 gallons of gasoline, hitting a Shell station in Roseville, Calif., three times in two nights.

They managed to disable the pump’s meter and hit the station for 300 gallons, another 300 gallons and then 350 gallons.

The average price for gasoline in California hit a record average high of $4.61 over the weekend.
