City Councilman Dan Halloran is no longer a campaign-finance scofflaw, according to the state Board of Elections, now that he’s filed 2 1/2 years worth of delinquent forms in Albany, The Post has learned.
But the Queens Republican, now running for Congress, still faces more than $3,243 in fines for failing to file records on time from his 2009 council campaign, elections officials said.
Halloran called the fines “minuscule.”
He filed the documents Tuesday — a day after The Post revealed that the Board of Elections referred the matter to the Albany County district attorney.
