Gov. Cuomo, chummy with state Senate Republicans, endorsed Democratic incumbent Sen. Joe Addabbo Jr. yesterday in a key Queens race.
A new Siena College poll shows Addabbo 2 points ahead of Republican City Councilman Eric Ulrich in a district redrawn by the GOP.
Cuomo praised Addabbo for reversing his opposition to gay marriage last year.
“Political courage, which is what Senator Joe Addabbo exhibited, should be encouraged,” he said before marching in the city’s Columbus Day Parade.
