Cashing out on Hudson Bridge

The Henry Hudson Bridge will no longer take cash come November as it adopts electronic tolling.

No cash lanes equals fewer traffic jams and fewer carbon emissions from idling cars, says the MTA.

The license plates of cars without E-ZPasses will be photographed and their owners billed by mail at the higher cash rate of $4. The E-ZPass rate is $2.20.

You can also buy E-ZPasses on the go at other MTA crossings.
