Fourteen Baltimore McDonald’s employees are suing a co-worker who they claim bilked them out of their share of the winnings in a $656 million Mega Millions jackpot.
Mirlande Wilson — who bizarrely claimed to have won the massive payout, then said she lost the ticket — is accused in the suit of giving the money to three anonymous winners.
Her alleged motive: She’d get more of the jackpot if she had to split the prize with three rather than with all the people in her McDonald’s pool.
Wilson allegedly told a man who claimed to be her live-in boyfriend at the time that she planned to keep the bulk of the winnings, and would pay $1 million each to the three stand-ins who produced the golden ticket, court documents claim.
