A judge has refused to reinstate the test scores of a Stuyvesant High School senior who says she was unfairly accused in the elite school’s cheating scandal.
The judge denied the student’s request on Tuesday to keep colleges from getting information about her suspension.
The unidentified student is one of dozens accused of using cell phone texts to cheat on the state Regents exams.
Her lawyer, Michael Rakower, said his client received texts during one exam when her phone was off. When she later saw them, she wrote back asking that they stop.
She filed a lawsuit on Friday.
The city Department of Education said it “acted appropriately.”
