1 thief behind string of Queens iPhone thefts: cops

A rash of iPhone snatchings in several Queens neighborhoods appears to be the work of one thief, police said.

The suspect began his one-man spree Aug. 1 on a staircase in the Court Square Station near the E-train platform in Long Island City, according to police.

The prolific pilferer struck seven more times in the area through Sept. 20, cops said.

The most recent robbery occurred in Astoria around 3:15 p.m. near the corner of 35th Avenue and 28th street, cops added.

The suspect is about 20 years old, between 6-feet and 6-foot-3 with a thin build, police said.

No one was injured in the thefts, police said.
