Kirstie Alley knows how to play the part when it comes to “Dancing With the Stars” drama.
Here she is over the weekend coming out of rehearsal and, just as she gets out the door of the rehearsal studio (photo, right) — bang, she twists an ankle and grabs her dance partner, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, for support.
Oh my God, she’ s injured herself! She limping to the car, face twisted in pain. The only thing holding her up is her arm over Maks’ shoulder.
Not so fast. A moment later, Alley is walking to her car just fine and grinning.
It was all a joke on the paparazzi who hang out in the parking lot, looking for the stars in sweats and dirty sneakers.
Alley, in fact, did have a big-time sweat last week.
She and Maks were among the lowest-scoring couples and the judges had vowed to eliminate two teams of dancers.
But she escaped to dance — and joke — another week.
