He must be a “CSI” fan.
A bandit was wearing a black garbage bag and plastic bags on his shoes when he and a gun-toting accomplice shot and robbed a man making a $13,000 bank deposit in The Bronx yesterday, law-enforcement sources said.
The robbers confronted the 40-year-old victim at an entrance area outside an HSBC branch at 1360 East Bay Ave. in Hunts Point at about 8:30 a.m.
Police suspect the bad guy wanted to avoid leaving traces of evidence.
“It could be he was watching too much ‘CSI,’ ” one law-enforcement source said. “Or he was wearing his new Michael Jordans and he didn’t want to get them bloody.”
Co-workers said the victim, Eddie Hernandez, was making his daily cash deposit for his firm, Mid Bronx Haulage.
He was expected to recover.
