Rangel rifle rage in Miss.

A gun shop in the Deep South is slinging some Mississippi mud at New York Rep. Charles Rangel.

It named a green assault rifle after the 82-year-old Harlem Democrat to mock the politician’s anti-gun stance and ethics problems.

“Like Rangel, this little Suchka AK rifle loves the green,” jokes the Mississippi Auto Arms Web site.

The “Charlie Rangel Edition” comes with a 30-round magazine, weighs 11 pounds and costs $1,195. Options include an “I Love Mississippi” window decal.

Rangel insulted the Magnolia State in 2006 by asking, “Who in the hell wants to live in Mississippi?”

In 2010, a House panel found Rangel, a strong supporter of gun control, guilty of dodging taxes and concealing assets.

“To exploit the congressman’s good name to sell an assault rifle in his store is utterly disrespectful to the congressman, who is a decorated veteran,” Rangel spokeswoman Hannah Kim said in an e-mail yesterday.
