Thank you for another excellent editorial (“A Case Study in Incompetence,” Oct. 28).
While the Obama administration continued to blame the Benghazi terrorist attack on a spontaneous mob that was supposedly upset by a demeaning video, Democratic operatives intimated that Republican budget cuts were to blame for the lack of sufficient security at the consulate.
If that excuse is true — and even if it isn’t — then how is White House aide Valerie Jarrett’s around-the-clock Secret Service detail justified?
Apparently the Obama administration is more concerned with threats from Oprah than it is from al Qaeda, which might be comical if Ambassador Chris Stevens and three of his colleagues weren’t dead.

He will certainly go down in history as among the worst and most damaging presidents.

Thank you for the excellently executed brief against the president (“The Case Against Obama,” PostScript, Oct. 28).
Hopefully, some eyes will be opened by it; this is an incredibly important election.
There is still time to fix the mess we’re in, but four years hence it may well be impossible.
We are still not creating enough jobs to keep up with new entrants to the market.
The president has no plan to ameliorate this, and it has become obvious that the health-care mess is curtailing job growth.
Full exploitation of our new-found natural-gas deposits will create hundreds of thousands of actual shovel-ready jobs and begin to wean us off Middle Eastern oil while repatriating an awful lot of money.
That Romney understands this seems increasingly likely. His business acumen and grasp of economic reality will give us a fighting chance.
America needs change. Where have we heard that before?

Your Sunday edition was outstanding and summed up the horrors heaped on the American people in the last four years.
This administration has been the most divisive, abusive and insulting to the American people in history.
Since when is patriotism measured by the amount of money we fork over so the White House can funnel it to its cronies and buy votes for itself?
I’m not surprised by the part this administration played in the slaughter in Benghazi.
Of all the crimes and sins committed by this administration, this was the most disgraceful, and the White House should pay the price for what happened on Sept. 11, 2012.
And hopefully we the people will be free of this nightmare after Election Day.
