Pershing Square gets requests to sit at outlets in wake of Hurricane Sandy

At breakfast spot Pershing Square across from Grand Central Terminal there was a new favorite spot to enjoy eggs.

“The biggest request we usually get is to sit in a booth. Today it was to sit in an outlet,” said Michael O’Keefe, the restaurant manager. “There is no one open south of 39th Street. We are the closest place for a lot of people.”

He also worried about running low on bread, milk and eggs and sent employees to scout grocery stores when his usual suppliers were delayed.
