School-lunch scald suit

A Queens family is steaming mad after their middle schooler got burned by sauce too hot to handle.

Nahara Diodonet of Richmond Hill was getting food at MS 137 in Jamaica when a school staffer served her a meal with “dangerously hot” sauce, leaving the young girl “burned and scalded,” according to a Queens Supreme Court lawsuit the family filed against the city and the Department of Education last week.

The September 2011 incident left Diodonet needing hospital care and with “psychological injuries.” The family is seeking unspecified damages.
