Charged for witness slay

A Queens man accused of murdering a man who testified against him in an earlier robbery case was indicted yesterday.

Shytique Kelly, 21, of Arverne, was indicted on first-degree murder charges in the fatal shooting of Tysheen Coakley, 21, on May 27.

Coakley — who had an order of protection against his alleged assailant — was a witness to a crime that purportedly involved Kelly, when he was a juvenile and “The killing was committed for the purpose of exacting retribution” for his prior testimony, said Queens District Attorney Richard Brown.

Kelly was arrested while hiding inside a closet in his apartment with the alleged murder weapon nearby, officials said.

“I’ve gotten myself into too much trouble already,” he said three days after the shooting, according to prosecutor Karen Ross.

Kelley’s alleged getaway driver, Jazmin Guillebeax, was also charged in connection with the murder.
