An alleged drunken driver who caused a fatal crash in Great Kills last summer has admitted to setting fire to his Rikers Island jail cell, authorities said.

Bryan Pittsley, 27, pleaded guilty on Thursday to attempted second-degree arson for the Jan. 31 incident, court records show.

Pittsley told officials that at around 10:20 p.m. that day, he “put a staple in the light switch and lit a piece of toilet paper to start the fire,” according to court documents.

His mattress was torched, as were the bed frame, sheets, some clothing and part of the cell’s floor, the records show.

Pittsley is awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty in May to aggravated vehicular manslaughter.

He was allegedly boozed up behind the wheel of an SUV that crashed at Hillside Terrace and Hylan Boulevard on Aug. 29, 2011, killing 18-year-old Angel Rivera and injuring six other teens.
