A billionaire Russian real-estate mogul was a “brutal and barbaric” bear, his ex-wife claims in shocking court papers.
Russian oil and real-estate oligarch Shalva Chigirinsky is the target of a scathing new lawsuit in Connecticut accusing him of viciously and repeatedly beating his ex-wife before, during and after their marriage.
Slavic beauty Tatiana Panchenkova claims in a civil-court complaint filed last month that she suffered “a decade of brutal and barbaric physical, psychological and emotional abuse perpetrated” by Chigirinsky — once one of Russia’s richest men, who was worth $1.6 billion in 2007, according to Forbes.
Panchenkova’s lawyer, Mark Sherman, declined to comment on the suit, which accuses Chigirinsky of assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress and false imprisonment.
Chigirinsky’s lawyers did not return calls seeking comment.
