Hamas militants’ final deadline

The Issue: A New York Times’ article calling three Hamas members killed in Gaza “journalists.”

***

Hamas savages, from their cowardly hiding places among Palestinian civilians, fired hundreds of rockets at Israeli cities, then feigned outrage when Israel’s justifiable response resulted in Palestinian civilian casualties (“Terrorists With Bylines,” Editorial, Nov. 29).

Many in the media, including The New York Times’ David Carr, are all too willing to assign moral equivalence to Hamas’ attacks and Israel’s defensive response. There is no moral equivalence.

Israel has the right and responsibility to defend its citizens with all the overwhelming force at its disposal.

The truth is the Times sides with any and all anti-American groups.

It stands on the wrong side of history, which is unfortunate because, even though the paper is only good for lining birdcages and litter boxes, it still carries a lot of weight.

What a bad week for the Times. Its beloved terrorists were killed in Gaza, it was tarnished by the BBC scandal and, worst of all, an NYPD officer got good press.
