Note from husband of Viagra chemist found at scene of murder-suicide

Investigators found a suicide note at the scene of a grisly murder-suicide where a Brooklyn chemist was apparently shot and killed by her husband, police sources said today.

Elsie Jones, 39, who helped to produce the Viagra pill, and her husband Peter Jones, 53, were found shot to death in bed at their Canarsie residence on St. Jude Place about 11:35 a.m. Friday, cops said.

It was not immediately clear what the note said.

The weapon was still in Peter’s hands when police found them. Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said this afternoon that he “was clutching the weapon.”

Police sources said the couple was suffering with marital problems, and that Elsie had wanted to separate from her husband. Despite their issues, cops had never been called to their home before, police said.

“There was no indication that any violent relationship may have existed,” Kelly said.

The godfather of their only child was baby-sitting their 9-year-old boy at the time of the heinous crime.

The wife had worked at Pfizer for 13 years, neighbors said.
