A third man claims he had sex with “Elmo” voice Kevin Clash while still a teenager, the accuser’s attorney said today.
“He’s alleging he was 16 and had sexual contact with Kevin Clash,” said Jeff Herman, adding he will file a suit in Manhattan federal court Tuesday.
It’s the third accusation of underage sex against Clash, 52, who stepped down from “Sesame Street,” in wake of the charges.
The latest accuser, identified only as “John Doe,” claims he had sex at Clash’s Manhattan apartment in 2000 when he was just 16.
Herman said he’ll releases excerpts of a memoir his client, now 29, wrote about his relationship with Clash in 2000 as proof.
“Mr Clash believes this suit has no merit,” his spokeswoman, Risa Heller, said of the most recent allegation.
Herman also represents another Clash accuser, Cecil Singleton, who is suing Clash for $5 million for their alleged underage relationship when he was 15-years-old.
Clash had been the voice of Elmo for 20 years and subject of the documentary, “Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey.”
