The suspect (pictured above) followed the 24-year-old victim to the steps of her apartment building and attacked her at about 12:20 a.m. Saturday, according to authorities.

She managed to fight him off, and he fled on foot, police said, adding that she declined medical treatment.

The suspect was described as in his early 30s and about 5-foot-10.

When last seen, he was wearing baggy jeans, black boots and a fur-trimmed black jacket, police said.

A brick-throwing burglar is responsible for six Greenwich Village break-ins since mid-November, police said.

The suspect (pictured above) allegedly smashed the glass storefronts of five closed restaurants and a closed clothing retailer and made off with cash, iPods and a computer.

The thief first targeted Grand Sichuan, a restaurant on Seventh Avenue, stealing a laptop and cash at 9 a.m. Nov. 12, police said.

He took cash from five other businesses, including the clothing store, Surf NY, cops said.

His most recent heist, at Diablo Royale on West 10th Street at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday, netted him three more iPods, police said.

The suspect is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s and weigh between 225 and 275 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a light-colored hoodie and carrying a backpack and another bag.

A famished thief swiped a sandwich from a Park Slope deli — and wound up with the old three hots and a cot, cops said.

Timothy Edifson, 20, waltzed into a bodega on Fifth Avenue near 77th Street at 3:20 a.m. Nov. 15, grabbed the premade sandwich from a refrigerated display case and chomped down, court papers state.

When a clerk demanded payment, Edifson said he didn’t have any money — and then had the gall to ask for a hot dog, the records show.

When the worker refused to give him more food, Edifson allegedly knocked over the hot-dog display and ran off.

He was soon busted on charges of petit larceny, possession of stolen property and criminal mischief.

An unidentified man was found dead in a tipped-over shopping cart early yesterday, police said.

The man, who appeared to have been beaten, was discovered at about 4:30 a.m. in front of 750 Madison St. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, cops said.

The body, partly covered by a camouflage bag, bore signs of trauma to the torso, they added.

Detectives were working on the theory that the man died nearby and that someone tried to move him in the shopping cart but gave up and abandoned the effort after the cart tipped onto its side, sources said.
