‘Evil stepma’ settlement

The adult children of a renowned cancer doctor have settled their lawsuit against the woman they once accused of killing him for his $5 million fortune — their stepmother.

In 2006, Dr. Ezra Greenspan’s three children filed a wrongful- death suit against stepmom Edith Wolf Greenspan, charging she had abused the 85-year-old for years before getting him to overdose on an anti-Parkinson’s drug.

In 2009, a Manhattan judge, finding no evidence of foul play, dismissed the wrongful-death claim. After an appeals court yesterday green-lighted pain-and-suffering claims filed on their father’s behalf, Wolf Greenspan’s lawyer called the ruling moot.

“The case has just been settled,” said Steven Wolfe, who offered no further details.
