‘Team Cupcake’ weds in Jewish ‘Bachelorette’ affair

It looks like our most clueless “Bachelorette” has finally figured a few things out.

Ashley Hebert was dumped by three different men on ABC’s “The Bachelorette” last summer before accepting J.P. Rosenbaum’s marriage proposal.

Their wedding will be televised on ABC Sunday as part of a two-hour special that is unceremoniously titled “The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding.”

Ah, television-manufactured love. Ain’t it grand?

Ashley and J.P. are the third couple to get hitched from the “Bachelor” franchise, proving that true love can actually thrive in a house filled with backstabbing drama queens.

Watching people get married on television seems to never get old, especially when the décor is fancy-plus and the dress is designer.

After all, why do they have any worse of a chance of making it than anyone else?

The couple said that they decided to televise the wedding because their courtship had been so public. Ashley described the ceremony as being “simple, sweet and personal.”

The Mindy Weiss-planned ceremony, which took place Dec. 1, was officially nontraditional but did incorporate some Jewish customs (see J.P.’s yarmulke).

“Bachelor” overlord/host Chris Harrison handled officiating duties before approximately 300 guests. Who better to join these two for better or for worse than the guy whose job it is to preside over countless wine-fueled crying jags?

Bachelor” and “Bachelorette” alums Ali Fedotowsky, Emily Maynard, Jason and Molly Mesnick, and Ryan and Trista Sutter all attended.

It doesn’t hurt that these two are about as cute as can be together.

Deemed “Team Cupcake” by fans after their very first meeting on “The Bachelorette,” Ashley and J.P. seemed destined for each other if only because of their adorable smiles and matching “Cupcake” nicknames.

Ashley, a perky pediatric dentist, first won the hearts of the Bachelor Nation while she courted and then was cast off by emotional vacuum Brad Womack in Season 15 of “The Bachelor.” Luckily, J.P., a construction manager in New York, filled the void after she was chosen as “The Bachelorette.”

J.P. had some healthy doubts at first.

After getting engaged in Fiji, J.P. told Ashley, “You walked in, in the first rose ceremony, and you were like, ‘My husband is definitely in this room,’ and I was like, ‘What the f – – k is she talking about?’ ”

“And it’s you!”

“It’s me.”

Just a few days after the wedding, J.P. tweeted: “SIGNIFICANTLY more nervous for fantasy football playoffs than I was for our wedding! @ashhebert remember, Football win = gifts for wife.”
