‘Today’ wants Pippa: report

Today” has offered a correspondent job to Pippa Middleton, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror.

The NBC morning show is reportedly offering Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s sister $600,000 for up to 20 gigs over 2013.

It is being suggested that the “Today” had been interested in Pippa before her party-planning book, “Celebrate,” came out in October but interest cooled when the book did not sell as well as expected.

When William and Kate announced that they are pregnant with their first child, interest in Pippa was reignited, the Mirror reports, because of the attention the baby will bring to the royal family.

Pippa would not, however, be reporting on personal family matters in her role as correspondent.

“She will not focus on intimate royal matters like Wills and Kate’s move to London, Harry’s return from war and the family Christmas,” a source told the Mirror.

“The offer gives Pippa the chance to have editorial input on what she says, and as most of this work would be prerecorded she would not be caught [off-guard].”
