Itsy-bitsy Spidey an Obama web zinger

Bam! Pow!

President Obama may have gotten trapped in Spider-Man’s web — but he still managed to snag the honor of Time magazine’s Person of the Year 2012.

Yesterday’s announcement by the magazine puts Obama in the company of a select group of two-time winners, which includes George W. Bush, Winston Churchill, Richard Nixon, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Josef Stalin.

Time said the president — pictured in the mag getting “ambushed” by Spidey (actually the son of a White House staffer) — deserved the nod as “the symbol and in some ways the architect of this new America.”

“We’ve gone through a very difficult time,” Obama told the magazine.

“The American people have rightly been frustrated at the pace of change, and the economy is still struggling, and this president we elected is imperfect, and yet, despite all that, this is who we want to be. That’s a good thing.”
