Including his 1997-2011 seasons in The Post, Cat’s record in print stands at 454-393 (53.6 per cent) against the spread.
SUNDAY
Giants (+2 1/2) over RAVENS: Giants clearly need to win out, while Ravens have backed into an assured AFC slot despite shoddy play. Imploding defense is unlikely to carry the day for this home side in its murky quest for marginally better seeding. You want Eli Manning or Joe Flacco, with two minutes left? Giants (-2 1/22 ) carry on, for one unit.
MONDAY
SMU (+12 1/2) over FRESNO STATE (Hawaii Bowl, Aloha Stadium, Honolulu): Ponies made this trek under June Jones’ stewardship three years ago, and Mustangs carpet-bombed Nevada 45-10 as another ’Cat double-digit underdog winner. Bulldogs had sharp year for first-year coach Tim DeRuyter, but four weeks’ off time can foul postseason momentum. SMU (+12) continues to minimize turnovers and competes (all ’Cat needs!), for one unit.
LAST WEEK: 1-1. Nevada (plus one unit). Bills (minus one unit).
SEASON: 21-9.
