Fat Joe ’fesses up to fed tax rap

He’s a big fat tax cheat.

Hip-hop star Fat Joe pleaded guilty yesterday to failing to file federal income-tax returns.

The 42-year-old performer — whose real name is Joseph Antonio Cartagena — admitted in Newark federal court that he failed to file tax returns for the years 2007 and 2008.

New Jersey federal prosecutors say that the rapper grossed more than $1.3 million from concerts and music-sale royalties in 2007 and more than $1.4 million in 2008.

Fat Joe’s unpaid taxes totaled more than $718,000, the feds said.

The rapper faces up to two years in prison and a $200,000 fine at sentencing, scheduled for April 3.
