A hero Sandy Hook teacher who died shielding her students may have a street named after her.
Stratford, Conn., resident Chris Barbee had already garnered more than 1,400 signatures yesterday in his quest to change the name of North Parade Street, which runs in front of Victoria Soto’s alma mater, Stratford HS, to “Victoria Soto Way.’’
Soto is credited with giving her life trying to save students from Sandy Hook madman Adam Lanza.
Stratford Mayor John Harkins said he wants to check with her family first.
