Jets fan sends threatening tweets to Sanchez after four-interception game

Many fans are angry with Mark Sanchez and his four-interception, five-turnover performance, which officially eliminated the Jets from the playoffs after Monday night’s ugly 14-10 loss to the Titans.

And while athletes are no strangers to heckling from fans, one Jets fan went over-the-top in his criticism of Sanchez, threatening to kill the quarterback on Twitter.

The fan, whose handle is “@BraveGrancru”, tweeted shortly after the loss “DON’T COME TO PRACTICE WEDNESDAY I PROMISE YOU BULLETS EVERYWHERE… @Mark_Sanchez”.

As if that wasn’t enough, the fan also posted “SANCHEZ BETTER HAVE ARMED SECURITY WEDNESDAY AT PRACTICE!! YOU THINK IMMA SIT HERE & WATCH THIS BULL****?? TUHHH @nyjets”.

He had several other tweets, including one where he attached a photo – which he identified as himself – in a Jets cap, also stating that “I SWARE (sic) IF I EVER SEE YOU SON N DEAD IDC YOU ARE THE WORST QB IN THE NFL YOU MEXICAN B—- @Mark_Sanchez”

Busted Coverage was the first to post the tweets, which came three days after the tragedy in Newtown, Conn., where a gunman killed 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook elementary school. It has made gun control a sensitive topic around the country.

This isn’t the first time this fan has expressed his displeasure for Sanchez on Twitter. In November he tweeted at the Jets that Sanchez needed to sit in order for the organization to win, to which the Jets actually replied and said “We understand your frustration, but we’re confident that Mark gives this team the best possible chance to win football games.”
