Superstar forward Kevin Love will not see any action when the Timberwolves take on the Knicks today at the Garden.
According to the Timberwolves’ PR Twitter account, Love “did not practice today because of an eye injury sustained vs OKC. Will not make the trip to New York.”
Love was inadvertently poked in the left eye Thursday night while grabbing a key offensive rebound with less than two minutes left in Minnesota’s stunning 99-93 victory over the Thunder. He was fouled on the play by Reggie Jackson and poked in the eye by Russell Westbrook.
Coach Rick Adelman has not yet named Love’s replacement in the starting lineup.
