Freshly cut

Cablevision has added health/wellness network Veria Living to its Optimum TV lineup — just in time for those pesky New Year’s resolutions (or lack thereof).

The network, owned by Asia TV USA, airs on Ch. 164 and features a lineup that combines “mind, body, spirit, and tackling the entire health question,” says Elizabeth Jane Browde, its senior VP of programming.

“It’s what people are looking for today . . . it’s all about helping people and their families look and feel better, naturally,” says Browde.

“It’s about taking action, control and making simple little changes in your life. It’s introducing the Eastern philosophy of wellness — which is a philosophy rooted in thousand-year-old traditions.”

Veria Living produces its original programming out of studios located in the original Tiffany’s building (401 Fifth Ave.) and, prior to its launch on Cablevision, has been airing on DISH Network and Verizon FiOS, among other outlets.

In addition to returning series “Yoga Sutra Now With Jai Sugrim” (hosted by a former Yankees trainer) and “Rock Your Yoga,” hosted by Sadie Nardini, Veria Living will launch four additional original shows next month:

* “Peggy K’s Kitchen Cures,” premieres Jan. 14 (6 p.m.) with host Peggy Kotsopoulos, a holistic nutritionist. “Peggy believes that what you put in your body speaks to you,” Browde says. “If you’re trying to manage your weight or beat the blues, she’ll talk about foods that address this.”

* “Nirmala’s Spice World,” premieres Jan. 14 (6:30 p.m.) with world traveler Nirmala Narine. “She will introduce viewers to spices all over the world known for their healing powers,” Browde says.

* “What Would Julieanna Do?” premieres Jan. 28 (7 p.m.) with host Julieanna Hever, “who’s like the girl-next-door, your best girlfriend, who will address the needs of your family — and what to do to help them eat better,” says Browde.

* “Myth Defying With Dr. Holly” premieres Jan. 28 (7:30 p.m.) with Dr. Holly Lucille (a naturopathic doctor), who’ll, “tackle common myths, like should we take multivitamins, what is menopause and what does ‘organic’ mean?” says Browde.

“We have lots of other shows planned,” says Browde, “and we’re building up a roster of daytime programming.”
