Volunteer at Boys and Girls Club of America awaiting sex abuse trial molested my son: Lawsuit

A Brooklyn mother is suing a New York City chapter of the Boys and Girls Club of America for allowing a man currently awaiting trial for sexually abusing children to volunteer at the organization — where he allegedly molested her young son, court documents state.

Taleek Brooks, 41, was indicted earlier this year on sickening charges that he allegedly filmed himself sexually abusing students at the Crown Heights elementary school where he worked. He pled not guilty to the charges.

“The facts will show that the Boys and Girls Club and the school should have and in fact did know that Brooks presented a danger to children,” attorney Robert Georges said.

The mother, whose name The Post is withholding to protect her son, also plans to sue the city and the Department of Education for allowing the alleged abuse to happen in its school, Georges said. Brooks had no prior arrests when he was collared in January.

The suit alleges that the boy was enrolled in the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club after-school and summer camp programs in 2009 through 2011 and that Brooks sexually abused him during that period.

A spokeswoman for the Madison Square Boys and Girls Club declined to comment.
