The “Jersey Shore” finale was a washout.
The final episode of MTV’s once-powerful series snared only 3.1 million viewers last Thursday night — not bad, by cable standards, but a far cry from a show that averaged 9 million viewers in its heyday.
The series finale was also down more than 1.5 million viewers from the season premiere (4.7 million).
While their fellow “Jersey Shore” cast mates now float into parts unknown, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Jennifer “JWoww” Farley will continue with their MTV show, “Snooki & JWoww.”
