Broom & bust at spa

Forget the clean getaway.

A housekeeper at a posh Midtown spa — part of a chain that caters to such stars as Oprah Winfrey and Madonna — helped cops nail four men who had allegedly just robbed the place, The Post has learned.

“It was handled well by the girl. She did a great job,” said an employee at the flagship Bliss spa on West 57th Street yesterday after the courageous cleaning lady snapped a cellphone picture of a suspected getaway car that led to the men’s arrest.

At about 7 p.m. Thursday, two of the bandits barged into the fancy spa and shouted, “Shut the f–k up!” at staff, a Manhattan Criminal Court complaint says.

“They came in and went straight to the expensive products and took [them]. They didn’t touch the register,” another worker told The Post yesterday.

Yelling profanities, the two thugs swiped anti-aging creams, eye balms and cleansers and stuffed them in plastic bags, the worker said.

“The girl at the front desk asked what they were doing,” the worker recalled. “They gave her a nasty response. She ran in the back and hid in the closet and called 911.”

Terrified, that worker locked herself in the closet, court records show.

The thieves then bolted — but got confused.

“They used the stairs to leave. They were running back and forth. They couldn’t find the staircase,” the worker said.

The housekeeper sprang into action and took the elevator to the ground floor to chase them. She spotted the pair as they jumped into a car carrying two cohorts.

She snapped a cellphone photo of its license plate and showed it to a security guard, who called it into the police, the worker said.

Ten minutes later, a Midtown South cop who had heard the plate number over his radio spotted a Nissan Maxima and pulled it over, law-enforcement sources said.

The officer searched the car and found plastic bags containing high-end spa products with no receipts.

The suspects — Victor Lopez, 32, Michael Rivera, 20, Andres Santana, 23, and Mario Zapato, 21 — were cuffed and charged with robbery and grand larceny.

All have criminal records, sources said, adding Lopez has at least 18 priors dating to 1995, including arrests for rape, robbery and assault.
