Thief nabs $10K by threatening to light clerk on fire

A sick thief was caught on surveillance video today throwing a cup of gasoline on a cashier of a Harlem check-cashing store – and then threatening her with a lighter, cops said.

The suspect can be seen on the video walking into the Pay-O-Matic store on Broadway near West 135th Street at 1:45 a.m. with a cup in his hand.

He allegedly demanded cash and threw the flammable liquid at the cashier before threatening her with a lighter, police said.

“Pay up or I’ll light this place up!” the suspect allegedly snarled to the terrified cashier, according to a police source.

The worker forked over a bag full of nearly $10,000 in cash, and the man fled from the store, police sources said.

The suspect is believed to be in his 40s, 5-foot-9 and 150 pounds, police said.
