A gunman settled a beef yesterday by opening fire in a Queens restaurant, slaying one man and grazing another, police sources said.
Jony Gonzales, 27, was at the restaurant El Nuevo Cafe Latino in Jamaica when the assailant came in and opened fire, blasting him five times at about 2:10 a.m., cops said.
He was hit in the chest, right arm and left thigh. A 38-year-old customer was also grazed on the chest, but it was unclear if he had been with Gonzales.
EMTs rushed to the lounge on Jamaica Avenue near 144th Place but were unable to save Gonzales’ life.
Gonzales and the gunman were acquainted and had gotten into a fight two weeks earlier, a police source said.
