Fashionista still missing

CARACAS — Rescuers on water and in the air yesterday failed to find any trace of a small plane that vanished off Venezuela’s coast carrying six people — including Vittorio Missoni, head of the iconic Italian fashion house that bears his surname.

The BN-2 Islander fell off radar Friday on a 90-mile hop from Los Roques island resort to the Venezuelan capital, Caracas, officials said.

Missoni, 58, runs the company, with estimated annual sales of $75 million to $100 million, with his brother, Luca, and sister, Angela.
