Garbage truck traffic jammed

An MTA garbage truck was stuck in the Park Avenue tunnel yesterday for two hours while dueling tow trucks struggled to dislodge it, authorities said.

The driver got the truck wedged in the tunnel near East 39th Street at 8:15 a.m. after roadwork lowered the clearance, officials and witnesses said.

After several failed tries and one lost bumper, a tow-truck driver was able to pull the truck out with no major damage to the tunnel, officials said.
