Driver ‘cycle’ of violence

A hotheaded city worker was arrested yesterday after he hit a biker with his car, then punched him in the face, police sources said.

Edwin Perez, 26, and the cyclist got into an argument after Perez plowed into him about 9:35 a.m. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, sources said.

During the clash, Perez allegedly pummeled the bicyclist and then fled the scene of the accident. He went back and was arrested.

Perez, who works for the New York City Health and Hospital Corporation, was charged with assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
