A habit-forming app

Is your commitment to your New Year’s resolutions waning just two weeks into the year? Habit List may be able to help you get back on track.

The mobile app for Apple devices lets you schedule recurring behavior and encourages you to form good habits.

When you add a new task, you can schedule it for specific days; intervals ranging from every day to every three to five days; or non-specific days.

Habit List only shows you what’s due on your current day, so you can focus on those tasks. To cross off something on your list, just swipe from left to right, and the completed item will be grayed out and drop to the bottom of the list. On your “Today” screen, you can see what percentage of that day’s tasks have been completed.

You can also analyze your past progress by looking at a calendar or bar-graph view of how well you were able to stick with good behaviors in the past. In the calendar view, you can see which days of the month you did one of your recurring tasks, including your completion rate and your longest streak. From the calendar view, you can click on the stats button to see your weekly completion rate for a particular task as a bar graph.

Habit List costs $1.99 and is available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
