NEW DELHI — Six men have been arrested in the gang rape of a bus passenger — four weeks after the fatal gang rape of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student on a New Delhi bus sparked riots nationwide.
The latest attack, on a 29-year-old who was the only passenger on a Punjab-bound bus, took place Friday night. The driver and conductor allegedly called five friends and rode to a desolate location, raped her through the night and took her to her village the next morning.
Also on Saturday, a man, 32, was charged in the rape/murder of a 9-year-old girl two weeks ago in western India.
