TNT orders yet another reality show

TNT is diving into the reality-TV business this year.

The network, known for dramas like “The Closer” and “The Mentalist,” just ordered an unscripted drama from “CSI” executive producer Jerry Bruckheimer called “Marshal Law: Texas.”

The series will center on the Gulf Coast Violent Offenders and Fugitive Task Force in Houston and the Houston Police Department as they track down violent criminals.

The Bruckheimer project will be the sixth new reality series to join TNT’s lineup in 2013, including a reality competition series called “The Hero” to be hosted by Duane “The Rock” Johnson and “Boston’s Finest,” a Donnie Wahlberg-produced reality show about the Boston Police Department.

The reality-TV push marks a big change in programming for TNT, which currently has no unscripted series.
