Syrian warplanes bombed Damascus’ suburbs yesterday, hoping to dislodge rebels from strategic areas around the capital, activists said, as clashes raged around northern army bases and airfields.
The fighter jets reportedly killed at least nine people in eastern Ghouta district and wounded 34 in Azaz, not far from the Turkish border.
