Off-duty cop busted in Brooklyn on menacing charges

An off-duty police officer was arrested this morning in Brooklyn and slapped with menacing charges, authorities said.

Officer Jim Paul, 34, was nabbed within confines of the 71st precinct at 2:05 a.m., police said.

It was not immediately known what the nature of the menacing was, but the cops said that the victim is known to the officer.

Paul was given a desk appearance ticket for the misdemeanor offense, cops said.
