Police want to talk to Titans’ Britt after brother stabbed

New Jersey police want to speak with Tennessee Titan Kenny Britt after his brother was stabbed at a party in Jersey City yesterday, according to reports.

The NFL wide receiver took his 23-year-old brother to Jersey City Medical Center yesterday morning, and the Bayonne resident was treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound tohis back.

But when police tried to talk to the former Rutgers University football star about the stabbing, he went silent, the Jersey Journal said.

“This is an ongoing investigation, and when the detectives speak to him then we’ll know more,” Jersey City Police Capt. Edgar Martinez said yesterday, according to The Tennessean newspaper of Nashville.

Kenny Britt, a Jersey native, has had a number of run-ins with the law, including a felony charge of eluding a police officer after a car chase in Hoboken. That charge was later reduced to a misdemeanor.
