George Clooney is all smiles at the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards as he gets up close with the night’s co-host, Amy Poehler.
The heartthrob actor, who is dating model/retired wrestler Stacy Keibler, got a tableside visit during Sunday night’s show from the “Parks and Recreation” star, who recently announced she is ending her nine-year marriage with comedic actor Will Arnett.
And lucky Clooney got yet another thrill — he took home an award when “Argo,” which he co-produced, was the night’s surprise winner for best picture.
Poehler, along with co-host Tina Fey, was a ratings hit as the NBC broadcast attracted 19.6 million viewers, the highest in six years.
The numbers blew away last year’s awards show, which was hosted by the caustic comedian Ricky Gervais.
